The easy to follow instructions take you step by step through the stages of making & putting the knife together, starting with "planing" (filing) the & tongue & (tang), down to fitting the brass plate, drilling the "horn" (antler) sinking the hole into the handle to take the tang, and so on, until you have made a bushcraft knife that will be totally unique, personalised, very handsome and practical knife that will be a joy to use.

This Large Army firesteel and is good for at least 12,000 ignitions this equates to years of trouble-free fire lighting & is used by Army Special Forces around the world, the steel is made from a special alloy which consist of magnesium & 7 other alloys that make a spark that burns at almost 3000°C.

Knife Blade 10.5cm long, 2.1cm wide and 3mm thick.
Is Very Sharp and made from either High Quality 1770 Carbon Steel (HRC 57) or very sharp and made from Stainless Sandvik 12C27 steel (HRC 57)

Handle Block made from curly birch measuring approx. 12cm x 3.2cm x 4.9cm.
Reindeer Antler Piece to use as a 1.5cm spacer at the front of the handle closest to the bolster plate.
Sheath Leather Half-tanned 2.5mm thick piece of brown stiffer leather for the sheath measuring 25cm x 12cm.
Inner Sheath made from strong plastic to give the sheath shape and to protect it from the knife blade.
String approx 1 meter strong brown string for stitching the sheath
Brass Bolster creates a strong and neat transition between knife handle and sheath.
Reindeer Leather Strip a thinner approx. 15.5 inches long fully tanned strip/thread of lighter flexible reindeer leather for the belt-hanger.
