This Gransfors Small Forest Axe
has a traditional pattern and poll. The Forest Axe's blade is thinner with a
handle long enough to allow more powerful chopping but not too long so it will
fit into a rucksack, the back of a car or a boat. These Gransfors Forest Axe's
are very practical for felling and trimming smaller trees and can also be used
for splitting small sticks and limbwood for the fire. The axe has a 3 1/4" face
and a 19" hickory handle and the head weighs 1 1/2lb. It comes with a
grain-leather sheath. The axe is provided with a grain-leather sheath with snap
fastener and a copy of the Gransfors axe book.
