Ronnie Sunshines Woodland Foraging Course £65.00 Our woodland & countryside is full of edible & useful plants to forage, but for most people this knowledge has been lost. So with some expert guidance we would like to help you forage & to view the woods, fields and hedge rows of England as your new free larder.During these forage's we will cover identification techniques of some of the edible and medicinal plants available to us, showing you a selection of the massive variety of plant life that is just waiting for you to taste & utilise and how to harvest these resources in a sustainable manner. There will also be tasting sessions through the day and the opportunity for you to practice cooking techniques by preparing and cook your own game lunch around the camp fire. This lunch will be either wild Rabbit, Pigeon, Partridge, Pheasant, or Trout with a selection of the wild foods collected during the day if you have a specific interest in a particular food type then just let us know in advance or we will do our best to accommodate this."I just wanted to thank you for the foraging course last Sunday. I wasn't sure what to expect, and feared it might be a bunch of ex-para, ex-SAS knuckleheads with bad people skills (I've heard some sorry tales from other people's bushcraft courses...). However, Kevin was the nicest bloke imaginable. His obvious enthusiasm and depth and breadth of knowledge were superb. I had a really enjoyable and hugely informative day, and am freshly enthused about the countryside around us."Mike Dent - HarpendenSuitable for everyone over the age of 8 years. All food and refreshments will be included, but you may wish to bring a few snacks. The Foraging course will be held at our woods near Berkhamsted Hertfordshire starting at 9.30am finishing at 4.30pm.We kindly request full payment when booking day courses.
