Many shooters who prefer their air rifles to be spring powered and require top end performance and build quality choose the TX200 range. These superbly made under lever rifles have forged their reputation as world beaters. The TX200 is a refined rifle which will match the performance of pre-charged guns shot for shot-it is also the rifle that won a World Field Target Championship.
What makes these guns so special? it's the balanced mainspring, guide and piston system, which runs on synthetic bearings to reduce friction (Less energy lost to friction means higher efficiency, easier cocking and reduced recoil). In short the TX200 feels like a tuned gun-only straight from the factory.
The shrouded barrel contains a baffle system that diverts and reduces muzzle noise, while the match quality Lothar Walther barrel ensures absolute accuracy. The safe-Lok system offers complete security throughout the loading process and a fully automatic safety catch secures the adjustable two stage trigger until you are ready to shoot.
Expertly finished, polished and blackened the action sits in an elegant, fully-chequered sporter stock (available in Beech or Walnut), completing this rifle's potent blend of performance and style.

Under Leaver Spring

Read quite a few reviews on springers and this Air Arms rifle seemed to be the joint front runner. Firstly, don't buy this and expect youngsters to be able to use it, I can assure you it's not light. But it's also beautifully crafted, the walnut stock is lovely and also it is very accurate. I got the distinct impression it's an air rifle that will last a long time. I was looking for a top end springer, and after shooting the TX200 for a bit, I think I've found it...
I had been looking for a Spinger rifle for quite a while and asked friends and read reviews on quite a few, but the majority of people and reviews all seemed to point to the TX200. I decided to go for the Hunter carbine 22 in beech and can honestly say what a fantastic rifle it is. Powerful and accurate and looks really good.
Bought mine in .22 and have always preferred under levers to break barrel springers. So it was a choice between HW97 and the TX200HC. I only use mine for target punching so the weight isn't a problem.

The very helpful staff at Ronnie Sunshines allowed me to try both and the TX200 won hands down. The build quality is superb, the cocking cycle is smooth and precise and the accuracy is deadly and consistent. With the walnut stock, it also looks great.
