BSA Lightning SE Air Rifle

The BSA Lightning SE "springer" is a lovely rifle to look at & shoot. It is well made, well finished & good value. It is compact, well balanced & a very manageable weight. The cocking action is smooth & positive. With the shorter carbine barrel it does need a fairly firm pull but the fitted BSA moderator provides an excellent grip point. The firing cycle is also smooth but with a very satisfying "kick" so you know you've actually fired something. I will be using mine for rifle club target shooting, & a bit of back garden plinking, so bought the .177 version. This is proving to be accurate, paired with the excellent BSA Essential 4-12x44mm AO EMD scope, & has plenty of power.
