The Karesuando Boar Survival is a knife made in the Arctic north of Swedish Lapland with a focus on functionality and reliability combined with traditional nordic design. The Blade is 100mm (4.2 inches) long, it has an ultra Sharp blade and is made from high quality Sandvik 12C27 stainless "surgical" steel (HRC 57) sharpened with a flat Scandinavian grind. The "spine" of the blade has slightly sharpened edges to make it suitable for use when striking a firesteel. The blade extends with an internal tang that stretches approx 2.5" into the handle and is firmly secured so that it wont come loose. This is another Karesuando knife that offers a Lifetime Guarantee, that if the blade comes loose you will get an new knife straight away! The Handle is made from curly birch stained with a spectacular deep golden red/brown colour and also has a reindeer antler spacer. The Sheath is side stitched for strength and made from Swedish vegetable tanned cow hide leather. It has an inserted plastic sheath liner for added protection for the sheath. It also features an integral loop for secure storing of the firesteel. The Firesteel is an "army" size (9.5mm in diameter) ferrocerium stick with a reindeer antler handle.
The Boar Survival knife is brilliant for hunting, fishing and other out door forest activities.
